Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity calls for a skilled Radiological Technologist to support diagnostic imaging needs with a focus on ER, inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings. A minimum of one years hospital inpatient acute care experience is required, along with certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The position prioritizes patient safety and quality imaging through proficient use of ionizing radiation and adherence to radiation safety standards.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • ARRT certification required; state licensure preferred
  • Minimum 1 year hospital inpatient acute care experience
  • Experience with ER, inpatient, outpatient procedures, and C-arm use is essential
  • Familiarity with GE mobile and room imaging systems preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association) required prior to patient care
  • Knowledge of radiation safety, patient monitoring, and radiology information systems
  • Ability to work with electronic health records and PACS (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document patient history and clinical information accurately
  • Position and immobilize patients ensuring comfort while maximizing imaging quality
  • Perform radiographic examinations safely, applying ALARA principles to minimize exposure
  • Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and surgical radiography procedures using aseptic technique
  • Administer medications/contrast per licensed practitioner orders and verify informed consent
  • Evaluate image quality and document patient dose exposures
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and patients families

Schedule

  • Rotates biweekly with a combination of evening and night shifts
  • Every other weekend off; no on-call duties, resulting in an effective 72-hour workweek
  • Typical shifts include nighttime hours from 11 pm to 7 am, late afternoons, and evenings
