Are you passionate about patient care and ready to make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer? Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers is looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Lead Medical Assistant to join our oncology team!
Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers:

- Location: Scottsdale location (101 & Shea) and Phoenix, Arizona (Tatum & Shea)

What You’ll Do:
- Provide hands-on support across all Medical Assistant functions, including clinic coverage
- Coordinate daily MA schedules and ensure balanced workload distribution
- Monitor team performance and assist the Office Manager with training, onboarding, and workflow consistency
- Lead quality assurance efforts, including competency checks and Standard of Care audits
- Serve as the first point of contact for MA-related concerns from patients and staff
- Oversee MA inboxes, voicemails, portal messages, and prescription lines to ensure timely follow-up
- Support inventory management and office supply coordination
- Promote a positive, team-oriented culture through mentorship and accountability
What We’re Looking For:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)- **Only candidates who currently hold a valid Medical Assistant certification or the ability to obtain w/in 90 days will be considered***
- 3+ years of MA experience in a fast-paced setting
- Medical oncology experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills
- Compassionate, team-oriented, and adaptable personality
- EMR experience and computer proficiency a plus
- Positive, professional attitude with a team-first mindset and a passion for oncology care
