Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in all bookkeeping activities. This opportunity is ideal for an organized individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience using QuickBooks.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records, including tracking income and expenses, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial data aligns with bank statements.
• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and organize financial data effectively.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and summaries for management review.
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to improve bookkeeping processes and workflows.
• Support audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors when required.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all financial activities.
• Assist with other accounting-related tasks as needed.• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Experience with performing bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
