We are looking for a Shipping Manager to oversee daily shipping, receiving, outside service coordination, and local delivery planning.
This position is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, creating shipping labels, coordinating freight and courier pickups, monitoring outside service orders, importing distribution lists, and helping keep finished work moving through the shop and out to customers accurately and on time.
We are looking for someone with experience in shipping, freight, and logistics, to work with our highly experienced production team to handle all incoming and outgoing items.
Qualification:
For this role, we are looking for someone with strong shipping, receiving, freight, and logistics experience. The ideal candidate would be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing both incoming and outgoing shipments in a production environment.
Key qualifications we are looking for include:
- Experience creating and inputting shipping labels for UPS, FedEx, third-party accounts, courier deliveries, freight shipments, and customer pickups.
- Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx shipping systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Familiarity with freight, courier coordination, local truck deliveries, and outside service pickups and deliveries.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when reviewing shipping tickets, addresses, billing instructions, customer pickup notes, freight details, and special delivery instructions.
- Ability to perform quality control before jobs leave the building to help prevent shipping errors.
- Must be forklift certified and able to safely operate a forklift as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with 5S or workplace organization systems is preferred.
- Printing, mailing, fulfillment, or manufacturing experience would also be a plus.
- We are really looking for someone who can take ownership of the shipping area, stay organized under deadlines, communicate well with internal teams and outside vendors, and make sure shipments are accurate and on time.
