Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) in Landover Hills, MD, is looking for a dedicated High School Cosmetology After-school Instructor to join our team. Your role will be crucial in molding young minds, imparting cosmetology expertise, and fostering creativity in a nurturing setting.

Compensation:

$30 - $35 per hour

Responsibilities:

Develop lesson plans for high school cosmetology students focusing on current trends and techniques in the beauty industry
Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a positive and engaging learning environment
Provide hands-on demonstrations and guidance to students on various cosmetology skills such as hair styling, makeup application, and nail care
Evaluate student progress through assessments and feedback to track individual growth and skill development
Collaborate with the LTYC team to organize showcases or events to highlight students' work and talents in the field of cosmetology

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in cosmetology field
Strong knowledge of cosmetology techniques and trends
Experience with lesson planning for high school students
Ability to effectively manage a classroom setting
US work authorization for employment
