Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) in Landover Hills, MD, is looking for a dedicated High School Cosmetology After-school Instructor to join our team. Your role will be crucial in molding young minds, imparting cosmetology expertise, and fostering creativity in a nurturing setting.

Compensation:

$30 - $35 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Develop lesson plans for high school cosmetology students focusing on current trends and techniques in the beauty industry
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and guidance to students on various cosmetology skills such as hair styling, makeup application, and nail care
  • Evaluate student progress through assessments and feedback to track individual growth and skill development
  • Collaborate with the LTYC team to organize showcases or events to highlight students' work and talents in the field of cosmetology

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in cosmetology field
  • Strong knowledge of cosmetology techniques and trends
  • Experience with lesson planning for high school students
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom setting
  • US work authorization for employment
