Senior Accountant
Location: Milpitas, CA (Hybrid)
LOA Assignment through January 20, 2026
Pay: $45-50 / HR
Our client, a leader in flash memory storage solutions, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join their team on a 3-month contract basis, covering an employee's leave of absence. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong technical skills, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Prepare journal entries and account analysis for US general ledger accounts, including prepaid expenses, cloud computing arrangements, restructuring, goodwill, and intangible assets.
- Complete monthly account reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling items promptly.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet fluctuation analysis.
- Prepare monthly management reporting schedules, including commentary on period-over-period changes.
- Support cross-functional teams with journal entries and account analysis.
- Oversee the global account reconciliation process and perform periodic quality reviews.
- Deliver periodic global accounting team trainings on reconciliation best practices and other accounting topics.
- Design, implement, and maintain effective accounting processes, policies, and internal controls.
- Partner with the accounting transformation team to identify automation opportunities and build scalable processes that support new business initiatives.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and other accounting-related duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5+ years of recent audit experience with a Big 4 or national accounting firm, OR equivalent corporate accounting experience at a public company.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams.
- CPA license strongly preferred.
