FUNCTIONAL ROLEAs a Piece Rate HVAC Installer Apprentice you will provide support to the Lead by completing tasks in a safe, prompt, accurate, and professional manner and following customer specifications, applicable to building codes and proper piping practices.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Install equipment, by project requirements and under the direction of the Lead Installer:

HVAC: air handler drains, piping for split systems, overhead duct hangers and ductwork, etc.

Refrigeration: display case drains, walk-in box drains, overhead hangers, and piping, etc.

Perform all assigned work safely and responsibly. Use power and hand tools, powered vehicles, machinery, and PPE as directed and required by Source, customer, and contract policy.

Escalate problems and concerns (safety, quality of work, etc.) to on-site Lead Installer or project managers promptly.

Always maintain clean and professional job sites/work areas. Properly store, disassemble, or remove all spare and waste materials created on assigned job sites.

Provide assistance and support to senior technician/s on a job.

Carry out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.

Installation of all types of piping including PVC, copper (brazing), copper line sets
-
Perform any other duty that may be directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS

Mechanical aptitude
-
Good customer relations and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

A “self-starter” attitude and be able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner

Great oral and written communication skills

Ability to stay on task with minimal to no supervision

Responsible for the daily preparation of the parts and tools for each day’s activities

Valid Driver License

Ability to Pass a drug screen and/or background check

Ability to write and read English language

Strong ability to operate under all weather conditions

Ability to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl, and/or kneel continually
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma
