A healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to work night shifts in a patient care unit. This contract role offers the chance to deliver quality nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting with supportive teams and a focus on patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement nursing care tailored to patient needs and age groups.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, prioritizing patient symptoms and psychosocial needs.
- Develop measurable, individualized care plans in line with nursing standards.
- Make comprehensive nursing decisions and adjust care plans based on patient outcomes.
- Participate in patient and family education and discharge planning.
- Perform Point of Care testing and document all interventions promptly.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring quality completion of patient care activities.
- Maintain professional, supportive communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Uphold hospital policies, safety standards, and promote a positive work environment.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current New Mexico RN license or a valid Compact state license.
- BLS certification from AHA required; ACLS certification is optional.
- Minimum of 2 years medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Experience with electronic medical records systems, EPIC preferred.
- Strong communication skills suitable for varied patient populations.
Schedule:
- Night shifts: 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Weekend availability required.
- No blocked scheduling; flexibility with floating to other units as needed.
Additional Details:
- This contract requires immediate availability.
- On-call duties are not required.
