PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

  • Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 – 100% On-site
  • Payrate: $64.27/hr
  • Required Availability: Full-Time |2:30 PM – 11:00 PM and 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM
    • Monday–Friday, possible weekend rotation

PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Pharmacist will provide patient counseling on medications, manage records and inventory, compound and prepare sterile solutions, and collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare staff. The position also includes supervising pharmacy team members and supporting patient services such as device education and health monitoring.

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accept and dispense prescription medications with accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor patient medication usage, including identifying over-usage patterns.
  • Ensure all medications and pharmacy operations comply with state and federal laws.
  • Review prescriptions to ensure suitability for each patient.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
  • Counsel patients on medications, including usage, side effects, interactions, and storage.
  • Provide education on over-the-counter medications and medical devices (blood pressure monitors, glucose meters, etc.).
  • Deliver additional patient services such as blood pressure checks, cholesterol management, and smoking cessation support.
  • Compound medications for internal and external use as needed.
  • Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedure.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
  • Maintain inventory levels for pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
  • Identify drug-related issues and collaborate effectively with physicians and other clinicians.
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacy interns, and fellow pharmacists to support optimal patient outcomes.

PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Ability to work both required shifts: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM and 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM.
  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient-focused approach.
