BrightPath LLC | Full-Time | On-Site (Hybrid)
Salary: $75,000–$85,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (On-call for after-hours emergencies)
Reports To: Chief People Officer

Position Overview
The HRIS & Benefits Manager oversees HRIS operations, employee benefits, and protected leave programs across BrightPath. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service for all staff while collaborating closely with HR, Payroll, and organizational leadership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, confident working with complex systems, and well-versed in federal and Minnesota employment laws.
Key ResponsibilitiesHRIS Administration (30%)

Manage end-to-end HRIS processing with accuracy and compliance.

Perform regular audits, resolve discrepancies, and maintain system configurations.

Monitor taxes, deductions, earning codes, workflows, and benefit withholdings.

Prepare reports for leadership, including rosters and labor distribution.

Lead year-end activities such as ACA reporting and benefit deduction updates.

Document, evaluate, and streamline HRIS-related processes.
Benefits Administration (25%)

Oversee full-cycle benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), COBRA, and more).

Serve as primary contact for brokers, carriers, and TPAs.

Lead annual open enrollment planning, communication, and system setup.

Process enrollments, changes, terminations, and vendor file feeds.

Conduct monthly reconciliations and invoice audits.

Support employees with benefit questions, eligibility, and claims.
Leave of Absence (LOA) Management (25%)

Administer federal and Minnesota leave programs including FMLA, MN Paid Leave (2026), UI, PTO, ESST, maternity/paternity leave, and internal leave types.

Serve as a subject matter expert for Scheduling, HRBPs, and HR Generalists.

Ensure accurate tracking, communication, and documentation for all leave cases.

Coordinate timekeeping adjustments, coding, and HRIS updates.

Maintain audit-ready records and ensure compliance with job protection and wage replacement rules.
HRIS Data Integrity & Systems Management (20%)

Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS and timekeeping systems.

Perform data audits, quality control, and develop reporting dashboards.

Support system upgrades, integrations, and process improvement initiatives.

Train employees and managers on self-service and HRIS functions.
QualificationsRequired
-
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Accounting, or related field (equivalent experience considered).

5+ years of HRIS and/or benefits administration experience.

Strong knowledge of federal and Minnesota employment laws, including FMLA and paid leave programs.

Advanced HRIS experience with strong data integrity and troubleshooting skills.

High attention to detail, confidentiality, and customer service.

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
-
Experience in social services, healthcare, or disability services.

Experience with MN Paid Leave or other state-mandated leave programs.

Professional certifications (SHRM-CP/SCP, CPP, CEBS).

Experience with HR analytics or systems implementation.

Working Conditions

Hybrid schedule with occasional onsite meetings.
