Salary: $80,522 - $102,000 per year

Superior Communications is looking for a Senior Demand Planner in Irwindale, CA.


A Senior Demand Planner is responsible for generating and managing statistical forecasts by SKU, customer, and DC location utilizing demand history, seasonality, market trends, promotion plans, while taking into account channel inventory and product life-cycle management.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze factors impacting demand for mobile accessories and consumer electronics (seasonality, category trends, trade promotions, competitive brand analysis, channel inventory), then build and maintain statistical forecasts
  • Lead Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment meetings with key accounts
  • Act as Sales & Operations Planning lead for respective accounts
  • Achieve KPI targets ranging from forecast accuracy, inventory targets, service levels, customer inventory levels
  • Populate and maintain revenue forecast
  • Manage customer store inventory using Superiors Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) system
  • Follow ISO/TL9000 requirements as it pertains to position

Required Education/ Experience:

  • BA/BS degree, plus 2 years of supply chain experience or - 5 years of supply chain-related experience
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly strong Microsoft Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, sum-ifs, conditional format)
  • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
  • Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) management experience, a plus

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibility


Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.


Physical Demands:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some light lifting is required. This would require the ability to lift 10 lb. box, open box, and bend or stand as necessary.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Normal business days are Monday through Friday. Work hours will be assigned in advance.


Travel:

Up to 5% travel is expected for this position
