**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a motivated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team at Hannah's Place. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a compassionate demeanor, and a strong attention to detail. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for our young patients and their families by managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support.

**About Us**

Hannah's Place is the Pocatello area's premier children's therapy clinic offering Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. We focus on creating a safe and welcoming environment for our patients and their families and strive to make our services fit into the unique circumstances of each family.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Greet patients and families warmly upon arrival and check them in for appointments.
- Answer incoming phone calls, responding to inquiries, and resolving any issues as needed.
- Manage appointment scheduling, including confirming and rescheduling patient visits.
- Verify patient insurance information and pre-authorize visits
- Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with privacy regulations.
- Assist clinicians by preparing patient charts and ensuring all necessary forms are completed prior to appointments.
- Coordinate with therapists and other staff to facilitate smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Communicate effectively with pediatric patients and their families, providing information regarding services.
- Perform general clerical duties, including filing, scanning, and data entry as needed.
- Uphold the clinic’s policies and procedures, ensuring a welcoming, safe, and efficient environment.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in medical office administration is a plus.
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist, preferably in a pediatric or therapy clinic setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and practice management software.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and their families.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes is preferred.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach when interacting with children and families.
