A registered nurse in the operating room is needed for a contract assignment in Escondido, CA. This role involves delivering safe, therapeutic, and individualized care to patients, focusing on progressing towards holistic and personalized health goals. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care by using a systematic nursing process, ensuring quality outcomes and patient advocacy throughout your practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care tailored to the age-specific and cultural needs of patients and families.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient and family needs, prioritize care goals, and document findings appropriately.
- Develop, implement, and adapt nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed, ensuring therapeutic communication and education.
- Serve as an advocate for patients and families, encouraging participation in care decisions and upholding their rights.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Delegate and assign nursing tasks within the competency scope of healthcare team members.
- Identify and address barriers to communication and learning by involving interdisciplinary expertise when necessary.
