Lowell School is seeking a dynamic Cello Instructor to work with students in grades 2-8, starting in September. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music education and skilled in playing and teaching cello. This position, which begins in September, works closely with the Director of After-School Music. We anticipate it starting with one day per week.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years of music teaching experience
  • Positive and friendly attitude
  • Passion for working with children; ability to motivate and support children in reaching high levels of academic success
  • Belief in the value of enrichment education for all children

Major Responsibilities:

  • Selecting an age-appropriate repertoire
  • Preparing students for performances
  • Create dynamic lesson experiences to ensure students are challenged and inspired.
  • Show evidence of adapting and differentiated instruction for all students
  • Maintain complete and accurate records for attendance
  • Develop and maintain genuine, positive, and consistent communication with parents.

The Expected Salary Range Is $60-$80/hour.
