Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.
An opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students in an elementary school setting in Naperville, IL. This position is focused on providing essential therapeutic services to enhance the educational experiences of approximately 52 students across three school sites.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-8 students
- Familiarity with various disabilities, including SLD, OHI, DD, and ED
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to providing high-quality, consultative, and direct services
Responsibilities:
- Assess student needs and develop customized treatment plans
- Provide both direct and indirect therapeutic services as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other therapeutic staff to support student goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP discussions
