Shift: 12-hr Days (6:45a–7p), Every Other Weekend, First to Float
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36/wk
Start Date: 11/11 only
Requirements
- Active RN license (CA)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Must pass Basic Dysrhythmia Exam
- Relias Dysrhythmia exam accepted if completed within last 12 months
Unit Details
- Unit: Medical Acute (27 beds)
- Ratios: 1:4–5
- Patients: Bariatrics, abdominoplasty, mastectomy, short-stay elective post-ops, some OB overflow couplets
- Staffing: Charge nurse (no assignment), aides as census allows
- Support: 24/7 RT & Pharmacy; Hospitalist/Intensivist in house
- No vents
- EMR: Cerner
- Tele: Yes, must be able to read & interpret EKG strips
Schedule & Policies
- Weekend: Every other
- Holidays: Rotate with staff
- OT & extra shifts available; self-scheduling with manager approval
- Floating: All other Sacramento facilities (rare mid-shift float)
- Orientation: 1–2 days on floor with preceptor
