Location: Saratoga Springs, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time, School-Year (220 days/year; union 11-month contract)

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $38,000–$52,500/year — Based on experience and qualifications; additional degree and nursing stipends may apply

Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–2:30 PM; follows school calendar with select extended days in summer

Job Summary
Bring clinical nursing to a specialized school community—handling day-to-day student health, supporting wellness initiatives, and building genuine relationships with educators, families, and medical staff. Key Responsibilities

Step in for first aid, emergency response, and routine health support for students and staff throughout the school day

Back up the school physician during physical exams and vision and hearing screenings

Own student health recordkeeping—accurate, up to date, and handled with full confidentiality

Engage with and support school immunization clinic operations throughout the year

Identify and respond to communicable disease patterns and health-driven attendance concerns as they surface

Set up emergency transport for students or staff when an illness or injury warrants it

Walk classrooms, playgrounds, and cafeterias; flag and document any health, safety, or sanitation issues found

Procure, manage, and inventory all medical supplies and first-aid equipment on an ongoing basis

Produce required health reports and records that meet school and state documentation standards

Stay closely connected with teachers, administrators, and attendance personnel to move student wellness forward together
Minimum Requirements

Graduate of a New York State Education Department–approved nursing program

Active New York State RN license in good standing

Established track record building productive relationships with students, families, and school staff

Disciplined approach to organization, documentation, and day-to-day communication
