We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Weld Supervisor to lead and support our welding team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily workflow, ensuring quality standards, conducting inspections, supporting employee development, and helping drive efficiency throughout the shop. The ideal candidate is an experienced welder with strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to training and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Workflow & Production Oversight
- Review previous day’s progress for each welder at the start of each shift.
- Review and confirm job sheets with top 3 priority jobs each day.
- Adjust job assignments to ensure progress on top priority jobs (#1–#3).
Training and Mentoring
- Spend time 1:1 with new hires and less experienced welders
- Lead group training to ensure consistency with company standards
- Writing and updating processes and procedures
- Motivate employees and assist employees to keep them on schedule
Inspection Duties
- Perform inspections on welding throughout the entire projects workflow.
- Implement and Utilize inspection checklist
Materials & Maintenance Management
- Weekly monitoring of consumables
- Assist shop personnel with part identification and retrieval
- Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment
- Organizing and staging work to improve shop floor
Shop Manager Support
- Assist shop manager as needed
- Review technical drawings for accuracy
- Collaborate with engineer on drawings and requirements
- Communicate with shop manager on safety related issues and concerns
- Enforce and address safety policies to keep weld team safe
Time Allocation Expectations
- Teaching and training team members
- Inspecting work
- Organizing work and locating parts
- Supporting manager, reviewing drawings, and performing maintenance
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of supervisory experience
- 10-15 years of strong knowledge of welding processes, fit-up, and fabrication.
- Must have strong TIG welding skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and time‐management abilities.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay: $80,000 + Depending on Experience .
- Shift: Monday through Friday regular business hours with some flexibility in your start and stop times. As well as the ability to participate in our 9/80 work schedule which gives you every other Friday off.
