We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Operator to manufacture precision parts from raw stock to finished components. This role focuses on CNC machining but also values experience with traditional machine tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes and mills (Dynapath and Southwest equipment).
- Manufacture precision parts to exact tolerances (+/-.001” standard, up to +/-.0001” when required).
- Prep and square raw materials for machining.
- Select appropriate feeds and speeds for a variety of materials, including stainless steel (304, 440c), aluminum, plastics, and other alloys.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gage pins, etc.).
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to ensure quality production.
- Properly set up machines using parallels, vises, and correct fixturing.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with manual machining (mills, lathes, drills) a plus.
- Knowledge of CAM software (Edgecam / Pathtrace) and AutoCAD a plus.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to troubleshoot setups and ensure efficient machining processes.
