Water Plant Technician/Operator

General Job Duties

1. Assist with daily operations and maintenance of the Water Department Properties.
2. Assist with cleaning, maintaining equipment, and calibrating process control instrumentation, perform laboratory analysis, maintain operation records as required by federal, state, and local agencies, gather water samples, must follow all standard operating procedures.
3. Must be able to operate a truck and tractor/mower.
4. Must be able to work rotating shifts as required by the operations manager.
5. Salary will be based upon experience.

Trainees

1. Trainees require no experience.
2. Trainees will be required to take correspondence coursework.

Technicians

1. Technicians must possess a minimum of 1 year of operating experience as determined by the Borough.

Operators

1. Operators must have a valid operator's license Class: B, E, Water Subclass: 1, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, and 12 from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
