Job Description
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules. Key tasks include performing inventory counts, locating missing inventory, and using the SAP Warehouse Management System (WMS) daily.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inventory counts and locate misplaced inventory on the floor.
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials according to production schedules.
- Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules.
- Compile reports on inventory levels, costs, and other relevant metrics.
- Examine documents, materials, and products to ensure accuracy and conformity to standards.
- Assess completeness and accuracy of work processes.
- Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements.
- Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies to meet production demands.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in counting and inventory control.
- Experience with cycle counts and material handling.
- Knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Team player.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with supply chain processes, shipping, and receiving.
- Understanding of raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques.
- Ability to analyze manufacturing, labor, and materials costs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.

Work Environment
The role is situated in the production side of the building. The environment may be noisy and can vary between hot and cold temperatures depending on the weather.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
