Job Summary
The Comfort Advisor is responsible for generating leads, evaluating the HVAC needs of residential customers, following the SGI Sales Model, and creating and presenting tailored system options. This is a high-impact, high-reward role that demands excellent communication skills, strong HVAC knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems with experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance is ideal
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and provide clear communication
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage daily tasks effectively
- Problem-solving skills and the capacity to recommend practical and cost-effective solutions
- Experience in sales or advisory roles in the home services industry is a plus
- Technical training or certifications in HVAC or related trades preferred
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Self-starter with a reliable, professional attitude and flexibility with hours
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient with a smartphone and tablet
- Ability to present and communicate professionally, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Must pass random drug testing
- Prior HVAC or in-home sales experience is a strong plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
- Bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and standing or walking for extended periods
- Climbing ladders and working in tight or confined spaces as needed
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week and up to 12 hours per day when required
Working Conditions:
- Work performed both indoors and outdoors
- Exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures
- Proximity to hazardous equipment and conditions; appropriate personal protective equipment required
- Possible exposure to moderate noise levels, elevated locations, and environmental elements
