Position: Financial & Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary (Negotiable) Depending on experience
Company Overview
We are a locally owned flooring company with 10–14 employees who take pride in quality work and
customer satisfaction. We’re growing and seeking a Financial & Operations Manager to oversee our
financial systems, improve efficiency, and help increase company profitability.
Position Summary
The Financial & Operations Manager will manage bookkeeping, job costing, and financial reporting
while collaborating with the owner and project manager to streamline operations and drive profitability.
You will want to have some leadership qualities to be effective in this role.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage company financials (A/P, A/R, payroll, banking, QuickBooks).
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Review job budgets and support project manager with cost tracking.
• Develop systems to improve workflow and company efficiency.
• Help lead company meetings focused on goals, budgets, and performance.
• Coordinate with accountant for taxes and compliance.
• Monitor cash flow and recommend ways to increase profit.
Qualifications
• 3+ years in bookkeeping, financial management, or operations (construction/trades preferred).
• Strong understanding of job costing and small business accounting and knowledge of construction estimating
• Skilled in QuickBooks and Excel.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive.
Compensation
Salary: Negotiable (Expected range $70,000–$85,000+)
Benefits: PTO, holidays, potential bonuses
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
