Role Description:

A Contracted Educator (CE) at Almond Blossom Academy (ABA) is an independent educator who provides educational services to ABA students through a contractual relationship with ABA.

What a CE does at ABA\n

A CE may provide services such as:

\n

    \n
  • Teaching individual courses or classes
  • \n

  • Providing tutoring or academic instruction
  • \n

  • Developing or delivering approved curriculum
  • \n

  • Conducting lessons in person or online
  • \n

  • Supporting students with specific academic needs
  • \n

  • Communicating with families regarding the services they provide
  • \n

  • Maintaining appropriate student records and documentation
  • \n

  • Following ABA's academic, professional, confidentiality, and student-safety requirements
  • \n

How the relationship works\n

A CE is not an ABA employee. They operate as an independent service provider and are responsible for the educational services they provide to their students.

ABA's role is to:

  • Approve and oversee the educator's services
  • \n

  • Establish academic and professional standards
  • \n

  • Provide access to applicable ABA curriculum, programs, or classroom resources
  • \n

  • Connect families with qualified educators
  • \n

  • Maintain appropriate oversight and student records
  • \n

  • Ensure services align with ABA's academic program
  • \n

\n

The CE's role is to deliver the actual educational service to the student while operating under the terms of their agreement with ABA.

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Education skills to support diverse learners and instructional goals.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess Lesson Planning and Training skills to design structured learning experiences and guide student skill development.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to engage with students, families, and team members in a clear and professional manner.
  • \n

  • Relevant teaching certification or license, and prior experience in K–12 or similar educational settings.
  • \n

  • Ability to support blended and online learning models, with basic proficiency in educational technology and learning management systems.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered practices, with strong organizational and classroom management skills.
  • \n

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced coursework or specialized training in pedagogy is a plus.
