Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Nurse – New York

Start Date: February 24, 2026
Location: Rochester, New York

Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Work in a 528-bed tertiary care hospital with high-acuity patient populations
• Dual-unit experience: 26-bed cardiac telemetry unit (CHF, acute MI, post-device care, arrhythmias) and 51-bed surgical unit (colorectal, ostomies, plastic/cosmetic procedures, breast reconstruction)
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout facility
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 for medical-surgical care
• Floating required between units to support patient care needs
• 13-week assignment with opportunity for experienced travel nurses and first-time travelers

Requirements:

• Active New York State RN license in hand prior to submission (no exceptions)
• Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, wound care/wound vac, peripheral line management, and oxygen therapy
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams and isolation precautions
• Ability to manage 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratios in a high-volume environment
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility location
• Limited requested time off (no more than 10 days during contract)
