​Sr. Shipping / Floor Clerk

• HOURS: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri
• HOURLY PAY: $18/hr
• LOCATION: Parsippany, NJ

Job Summary:
We are hiring for a leading distribution company in Parsippany, NJ. We are seeking a reliable Senior Shipping/Floor Clerk to coordinate workflows, manage outbound staging, and assist the Shipping Supervisor. This is a great opportunity to work in a climate-controlled environment with a consistent day-shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Workflow Coordination: Arrange cartons by lot size, customer account, PO, or location to ensure efficient staging.
• Shipping Support: Assist the Supervisor with morning attendance, document gathering, and truck setup.
• Loading & Scanning: Scan and load sign-offs, distribute documents, and manage outbound staging (LTL and Full Truckload).
• Problem Solving: Investigate shipping issues, missed pick-ups, and overflows by coordinating with the Routing team.
• Quality Control: Inspect and document (including photos) outbound shipments to prevent chargebacks; ensure all loads are sealed and secured.
• Equipment Operation: Operate pallet jacks, pump jacks, and learn the conveyor control systems for inbound/outbound freight.
• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area (removing pallets, trash, etc.) to ensure employee safety.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience with RF Scanners, pallet jacks, and pump jacks is required.
• Education: High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• Language: Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
• Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
