Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of grooming tasks including bathing, clipping, and brushing dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Consult with pet owners to assess their dog grooming needs and preferences before services commence.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming environment, including sanitizing grooming tools and equipment after each use.
- Observe and note any skin conditions, parasites, or health issues during grooming and communicate findings to pet owners.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all animals during grooming sessions, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Manage scheduling and time effectively to accommodate multiple grooming appointments throughout the day.
- Provide exceptional customer service, fostering strong relationships with clients and their pets.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dog Groomer or relevant veterinary experience with grooming duties.
- Knowledge of different dog breeds, their temperaments, and specific grooming requirements.
- Proficient in the use of grooming tools and equipment, including clippers, brushes, and scissors.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality grooming services.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their pets.
- Ability to lift and handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments safely.
- Certification in pet grooming or related field is highly desirable, along with continuous education in grooming trends.
