Seeking a dedicated School Psychometrist to provide expert assessment services on a part-time, contract basis for students in kindergarten through 7th grade. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to create your own schedule within the school’s hours and make a meaningful impact on young learners near Wetumpka, AL.
In this rewarding position, you'll collaborate with school staff to conduct assessments, interpret results, write reports, and support educational planning. The current caseload is 2 students, with the possibility to expand. You'll typically conduct assessments and follow-up while working closely with families and educators to ensure student success. For minimal disruption to students’ academic schedules, it’s preferable to schedule services during PE times.
Key Qualifications:
- Credentialed School Psychometrist or School Psychologist
- Experience in psychoeducational testing for school-aged children
- Strong writing skills for assessment reports
- Familiarity with K-7th grade developmental stages
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to work independently and manage own schedule
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer standardized psychological and educational assessments for K-7th grade students
- Analyze findings and write comprehensive evaluation reports
- Communicate assessment results and recommendations with staff and families
- Maintain accurate, confidential files and documentation
- Adapt to caseload changes and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Schedule sessions to minimize instructional time lost, preferably during PE periods
