Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client.
This dynamic role provides nursing care for patients ranging from minor injuries to critically ill cases, requiring the RN to be a quick thinker, rapid decision-maker, and proficient multitasker. The RN manages multiple cases, utilizes the nursing process to develop care strategies, and works within a collaborative, safety-aware team environment dedicated to providing excellent patient care.
Job Responsibilities
- Triage, assess, and treat a diverse patient population of all ages presenting in the Emergency Room.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously, continually prioritizing patient needs while providing comprehensive general nursing care.
- Identify expected patient outcomes and develop individualized plans that prescribe effective strategies and alternatives for goal attainment.
- Coordinate patient care functions efficiently with physicians and other hospital departments, ensuring a patient-focused and safety-aware approach at all times.
- Provide clear follow-up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals upon discharge from the ER.
- Advocate for patients and families, supporting patient safety and well-being as part of the interdisciplinary team.
- Document all assessments, treatments, and coordination efforts accurately and promptly in the patient's medical record.
Requirements
Education
- Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma is required.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required (implied by degree/diploma).
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of Recent Acute Care ER RN experience is REQUIRED.
Certifications/Licenses
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required.
- Licensure Note: Candidates with $\ge 3$ years of RN experience and a compact license may be considered but must apply for the FL license. Candidates with $<3$ years of RN experience lacking a FL license must take and pass the NCLEX in FL prior to consideration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained prior to employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS or ACLS Instructor) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS or PALS Instructor) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
