Director of Construction - Commercial Real Estate Development

Los Angeles, CA

We are currently seeking a talented executive level leader for a very rare opportunity in Los Angeles. This Director of Construction & Development opportunity will work side-by-side with the Real Estate team in the assessment of new project opportunities, land acquisition pursuits and opportunities, feasibility studies, entitlement processes, design, planning, project delivery, construction and project delivery. A terrific opportunity with a highly sophisticated Developer/Builder and Asset Manager working alongside some of the brightest in the industry.

Desired Experience:

• 18+ years Commercial Construction and/or Commercial Development experience
• Diverse market segment experience including: office, industrial, retail, build to suit, private schools, public/private partnerships, hospitality, multi-family and others preferred
• Experience leading project teams
• Budgeting, precon and estimating experience/oversight
• Operational oversight of complicated projects
• Exposure and or experience with design and the development process
• Passion for Construction and Development
• Professional communication skills
• Integrity driven
• Values client relationships both internal and external
• Builds cohesive teams that work well together
