Lead with Safety:

  • Champion Pierre’s safety culture by enforcing company and OSHA standards, performing jobsite safety walks, and coaching field staff on hazard recognition and prevention.

Plant Health & Quality Assurance:

Arboriculture Oversight:

  • Assess tree health, pruning needs, and structural concerns; recommend corrective actions and assist in coordinating specialty tree care services.

Site Oversight:

  • Conduct regular job walks with Project Managers, clients, and inspectors to evaluate progress, site conditions, and horticultural performance.

Warranty & Post-Project Management:

  • Own warranty response and resolution related to plant health, irrigation, and landscape deficiencies.

Field Leadership:

  • Guide Foremen and crews with clear expectations, ongoing training, and performance feedback related to plant care, pruning standards, and irrigation efficiency.

Maintenance Transition:

  • Coordinate the start and end of maintenance periods per contract and ensure close-out documentation is accurate and complete.

Operational Tracking:

  • Maintain production logs, plant material performance, and budget-vs-actual trends to identify improvement opportunities.

Training & Development:

  • Lead training sessions on plant identification, pruning standards, irrigation troubleshooting, and safe equipment operation.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Work cross-departmentally to enhance maintenance SOPs, improve communication, and strengthen horticultural standards.

Professional Representation:

  • Serve as a field ambassador—demonstrating professionalism, horticultural knowledge, and safety awareness.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Arborist certification and/or strong horticulture experience required
  • Proven supervisory or crew leadership experience in landscape maintenance or similar field environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) — required
  • Strong understanding of plant health, pruning standards, irrigation systems, and landscape best practices
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Experience training and motivating field teams
  • High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
  • Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000 – $85,000+ annually (based on experience)
  • Bonus: Performance-based bonus program
  • Benefits: Paid vacation, sick and holiday time, employer-sponsored health benefits, and 401(k) plan
