POSITION OVERVIEW

The Survey Mapping Specialist will have a primary role focused on map drafting and CAD-based survey documentation. This role is ideal for candidates who prefer office-based technical work with minimal fieldwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary focus will be on map drafting and CAD-based survey documentation.
  • Lead the creation of high-quality topographic and boundary, right-of-way, easement, and land division surveys including associated regulatory approval submittals.
  • Conduct research of public records, including plats, deeds, and other survey-related documents.
  • Work with cutting-edge technology tools such as RTK GPS and Robotic Total Station equipment to gather precise field measurements.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other survey software to process field data and produce detailed survey drawings.
  • Prepare survey maps and documentation in compliance with regulatory agency standards and client specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering Technician, or a related field; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement.
