Job DescriptionDescription:

Key duties included purchasing and procurement operations by compiling purchase requests, preparing purchase orders, tracking orders & supplies, comparing prices and specifications, verifying order accuracy, maintaining procurement records and files.

  • Sourcing and executing the procurement activity
  • Manage appropriate inventory levels to support sales force
  • Responsible for the quality on-time delivery and total cost of ownership for assigned commodities with intention of maximizing total value
  • Product sourcing for inventory and non-inventory items to meet production plan
  • New product sourcing as approved by Director of Supply Chain
  • Develop relationships with supplier’s customer service reps
  • Order placement with suppliers for chemicals and related raw materials with direction
  • MRP Management: Manage min/max for SKU replenishment
  • Review of sales forecast for material requirement planning
  • Capability to resolve defective materials by assisting QA Manager for supplier
  • Capability to resolve defective material returns/credits with Inventory manager for Chempax/Inventory accuracy
  • Resolve accounts payable discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain pricing in Chempax based on supplier price letter and order confirmations
  • Participate in end of month processing and physical inventories
  • Back-up support for other Buyers when needed
  • Key member in successful implementation of Demand/Resource Planning.
  • Update shipping information with facility addresses and loading requirements in Chempax system.
  • Manage paperwork from suppliers.
  • Obtain direct shipment weight tickets along with proof of delivery
  • Other tasks assigned by management.
  • Promote a safe working environment with exceptional leadership in all the company Environmental, Health and Safety Programs.
  • This list is not all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the shift and overall plant. Will perform other related duties as assigned.
