Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an engaging school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) role in the vibrant San Antonio area! This contract opportunity is perfect for professionals who are passionate about helping students succeed across both high school and middle school settings. This on-site position allows you to support students’ communication development while working in a collaborative school environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLPA license (required)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Previous experience in school settings or pediatric populations is helpful
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) abilities are preferred, though not required
  • Ready to travel between two district campuses as assigned
  • Able to complete district-specific onboarding forms and credentialing steps following an offer

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to middle and high school students as directed by supervising SLPs
  • Support students in grades 6-12, with a caseload split between two campuses (approximately 70 students at the high school, 40 at the middle school)
  • Serve monolingual caseloads; bilingual students are assigned only to bilingual clinicians
  • Only required to see students every other week or less in some cases, making for a balanced workload
  • Document student progress and maintain up-to-date session notes in compliance with school district standards
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student growth
