Position Summary

The Regional Director is responsible for driving revenue by leading all aspects of the regional sales function—from recruiting and training new sales talent to managing performance, identifying opportunities, and closing deals. In this role, you’ll report directly to senior leadership and serve as a critical link between the corporate brand and the local market.

Your daily responsibilities will blend strategic planning, team development, hands-on selling, market analysis, and client relationship building. You’ll collaborate closely with operations, franchise support, and marketing to ensure that every new customer has a seamless and positive onboarding experience.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Revenue Growth:

  • Set and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals. Use creative strategies to open new business opportunities through cold-calling, prospecting, networking, and leveraging company-generated leads.

Execute Full Sales Cycle:

  • Conduct needs assessments, develop tailored proposals, and deliver high-impact presentations to decision-makers across industries. Close new business and ensure smooth handoff to operations and client onboarding teams.

Develop and Manage Sales Processes:

  • Establish clear pipelines, forecasts, and performance metrics. Use data to drive decisions and improve conversion rates.

Build Strategic Relationships:

  • Network across the St. Louis business community and represent Jani-King at trade shows, chamber events, expos, and networking functions.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally:

  • Work closely with operations, franchise, and administrative teams to ensure strong communication and customer satisfaction post-sale.

Lead by Example:

  • Set the tone for professionalism, integrity, and performance across your team. Model the behaviors and work ethic expected of a Jani-King leader.

Drive Sales and Ensure Performance Accountability:

  • Personally own the full sales cycle—from prospecting through closing—to drive aggressive growth. In addition to your own sales activity, track performance metrics and hold any assigned sales reps accountable to their goals and KPIs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5-7 years of experience in sales as an individual contributor with proven success hitting monthly quotas
  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales, preferably in a service industry
  • Proven leadership abilities—hiring, developing, and retaining sales talent
  • Strong cold-calling, prospecting, and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is a plus, but not required

Local knowledge of the St. Louis business market strongly preferred

Location and Environment

This position is based at our Jani-King St. Louis Regional Office, located at:

11960 Westline Industrial Dr #363 St. Louis, MO 63146

You’ll work primarily on-site in a professional office setting with regular in-person collaboration, team engagement, and client interaction throughout the St. Louis region. Local travel is expected for networking events, business meetings, and franchise support.

You'll stay engaged and on the move in this dynamic role. Expect a healthy mix of time spent working with your team in the office, meeting face-to-face with clients, and building relationships in the field. While you’ll regularly use a computer and phone to stay connected, this is far from a desk-bound position.

Whether you’re leading a team huddle, delivering a presentation to a prospective customer, or attending a business expo, you’ll be active, visible, and making an impact. Occasionally, you may lift light items such as marketing materials or supplies for events, and you’ll be expected to drive locally within the region.
