• Review/interpret contract drawings and specifications
• Understand the contract pay items to include what work is and is not incidental to the Pay Item.
• Track payable quantities for reimbursement by the Owner.
• Measure payable quantities with an Owners representative whenever possible.
• Maintain a quantity book complete with detailed records on quantities paid per Item to include field sketches, dimensioning, etc. as required.
• Agree on dimensioning with Owners Representative. Inform Project Manager (PM) of any and all discrepancies.
• Recognize changed conditions resulting from field changes, design changes
• Perform field walk inspections to review work for conformity to specifications and to review on site Safety. Report any issues to PM.
• Update contract drawings with revisions and maintain log of same.
• Provide assistance to the PM on source of supply submissions, quality control plans and other plans/procedures required by the contract.
• Keep PM up to date on job progress, problems, changes, additions, omissions to contract “scope of work”.
• Assist P.M. in updating project schedule.
• Complete time and material submissions to the Owner.
• Prepare Subcontracts and Purchase Orders as directed by PM
• Be organized
• Think outside the box to develop cost saving techniques and solutions and help mitigate potential problems.
