Job Description

Join our team as a Production Associate, where you will play a crucial role in the dough production process. Your responsibilities will include batch setup, mixing, dough handling, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform batch setup and mixing process of dough, ensuring the correct batch recipe for size and type.
• Gather, measure, and mix ingredients according to the current recipe.
• Record batch data, including dough temperature, and maintain proofing library by collecting dough samples.
• Become dough certified through required training and maintain certification annually.
• Perform metal detector checks and record them accordingly.
• Refill bulk ingredient containers and pull ingredients from dry storage as needed.
• Remove loaded dough trays from the line and cross-stack them for cooling.
• Work in dough cooler with temperatures ranging from 33&degree;-38&degree;.
• Ensure proper labeling and handling of dough trays during cross-stacking and down-stacking.
• Rotate and manage down-stacked pallets of dough in the cooler.
• Gather, count, and dispose of returned or expired dough trays.
• Complete daily sanitation tasks and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Operate manual pallet jack or forklift to retrieve pallets or raw ingredients.

Essential Skills

• Experience in food, warehouse, or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to load and unload products, with experience in repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and be cross-trained.
• Capability to mix products and load them on conveyor lines.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing and distribution facility that services a 250-mile radius. It is a clean facility, with a chilled refer area maintaining a temperature of 36 degrees. Employees are rotated around the facility to avoid prolonged exposure to cold. The dry storage area can get warm in the summer, reaching up to 80 degrees, but the work setting remains enjoyable with periodic breaks in cooler areas. The company provides necessary clothing and PPE, including nonslip and oil-resistant steel-toed shoes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Erlanger, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
