Your role as a Credit Analyst
As a Credit Analyst at Generations Bank, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial landscape of our community. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing credit information on current and prospective borrowers, allowing you to assess the advisability of granting credit across a diverse array of loans. Collaborating closely with loan officers, you will assist in crafting well-informed loan requests that align with our customer-centric philosophy. Your ability to maintain strong customer relationships will be paramount; not only will you promote the bank's services, but you will also refer clients to appropriate staff, ensuring they receive tailored financial solutions.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
Financial Analysis: Perform comprehensive analysis of business and personal financial statements, tax returns, and cash flows to assess creditworthiness and risk.
Loan Structuring: Assist loan officers in pre-qualification assessments and recommend appropriate loan structures, terms, and collateral positioning.
Due Diligence: Conduct thorough background research, including credit bureau reports, industry peer comparisons, and market trend analysis.
Reporting: Write detailed financial reviews and credit reports to support lending decisions and internal loan review functions.
Portfolio Management: Monitor commercial accounts for updated financial data and assist in the timely review and renewal of existing credit facilities.
Data Accuracy: Develop complex debt schedules and global cash flow models, ensuring all data is captured accurately from primary sources and guarantors.
Compliance & Policy: Ensure all loan requests and structures adhere to Bank loan policy, federal/state regulations, and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements.
Process Optimization: Support the computerization of loan review functions and manage the credit analyst queue and relationship files efficiently.
Client Relations: Communicate clearly with customers to gather financial data and represent the Bank in community functions to enhance its image.
Administrative Excellence: Complete all administrative tasks and stress-test analyses (including interest rate and property stress tests) with high accuracy and timeliness.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - candidates must have these to be considered:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree and/or 3 or more years of credit analysis experience
- Ability to perform the essential functions, and the mental/physical demands of the job.
- Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive while performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
