We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Clerk capable of accurately and efficiently filling prescription requests. Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the role involves preparing, packaging, sorting, and distributing medications in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will maintain a consistent workflow to meet daily production goals and possess the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Manually fill prescription vials with prescribed tablets and capsules.
- Retrieve and process Unit of Use and Bulk items.
- Read computer-generated screens to locate indicated medication on labeled shelves and verify the size and strength before filling orders.
- Replenish medication in automated cells to full capacity by opening large quantities of bottles and cases.
- Utilize basic mathematical reasoning to count or calculate the appropriate number of units needed to fill prescriptions.
- Use a handheld scanner to scan product barcodes for replenishment.
- Demonstrate problem resolution skills by recognizing, addressing, and escalating issues.
- Maintain acute attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks with absolute accuracy.
- Keep the pharmacy floor clean and orderly.
- Comply with federal and state HIPAA laws as well as pharmacy standard procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy.
- Process orders for shipping, including folding and packing paperwork and attaching shipping labels.
Essential Skills
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and consistently carry 20-30 lbs of merchandise.
- Capability to stand and walk continuously for 8 hours per day.
- Skills in bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, and pinching.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Visual acuity to read computer screens, handheld scanners, and labels.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Working knowledge of pharmacy operations and professional standards.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience in micro-fulfillment is a plus.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Positive attitude with the ability to handle adversity and ambiguity.
Work Environment
The position is onsite in Lake Mary, FL. Equipment such as a laptop and headset will be provided. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with shifts potentially falling between 3pm and 11pm EST. The hours of operation are from 6am to 11pm and may change based on business needs. Lunch breaks are typically 30 minutes with two additional 15-minute breaks, which are scheduled and not flexible. The environment is climate-controlled.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
