Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Distribution Customer Service Agent to join our team at our multi-tenant distribution warehouse. This facility specializes in order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer receiving, and we’re looking for someone who can help ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients: overseeing the workflow in the warehouse of receipts, orders, and meeting daily operational deadlines.
- Manage customer inquiries and requests via computer systems and Microsoft Teams.
- Conduct daily update calls and maintain accurate records using spreadsheets and internal systems.
- Oversee billing processes and ensure timely invoicing.
- Monitor warehouse workflow both on the floor and through system-based tracking tools.
- Collaborate with team members and management to assess and respond to client needs.
- Train new team members and support ongoing team development.
Qualifications
- College degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customer service within a 3PL/logistics environment.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a history of excellent attendance.
- Flexible schedule availability, including early arrivals or late departures as needed.
- Ownership mindset with demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Team-oriented with effective communication skills across all levels.
- Experience hosting and preparing for customer meetings via Microsoft Teams.
- Proficient in Power BI, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to type 45wpm
- Excellent written, verbal, and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to manage client billing and understand basic accounting functions.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills, including active listening and clear communication.
