Construction Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager with a strong background in Transmission & Substation projects to support large-scale electric power infrastructure work. This role is field-focused and requires hands-on leadership to ensure safety, quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with approved standards and specifications.
The ideal candidate brings deep construction management experience within the electric power industry and is comfortable working directly on active construction sites while collaborating with design, engineering, and project teams.
Responsibilities:
- Visit construction sites regularly to monitor quality, safety, and adherence to approved project scopes
- Provide accurate updates on project progress and field conditions
- Support validation and review of change orders and scope change requests
- Manage site safety, including performing safety audits and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
- Provide constructability feedback during design reviews and site walk-downs
- Support project scheduling efforts and provide field input on sequencing and constructability
- Assist with managing material availability and coordination with contractors and suppliers
- Ensure adherence to approved drawings, standards, and specifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years of construction management experience in the electric power industry
- Direct Transmission & Substation construction experience is required
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex utility construction projects
- Strong working knowledge of construction safety practices; OSHA knowledge preferred
- Experience managing scope changes, schedules, and field coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
