As a Financial Advisor you will play a pivotal role in guiding members through complex financial decisions to help them achieve their long-term financial goals. You will analyze, alongside a Sr. Financial Advisor, clients' financial situations, including investments, retirement plans, and estate planning, to develop tailored strategies that align with their objectives and risk tolerance. Your expertise in financial markets and investment advisory will enable you to recommend products such as mutual funds, annuities, and life insurance that optimize clients' portfolios and are in their best interest.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships will be essential, as you provide ongoing advice and adjust plans in response to market changes and life events. Ultimately, your role is to empower members with knowledge and strategies that secure their financial future and enhance their overall financial well-being.
Qualifications & Experience
- Licenses are required.
- FINRA SIE (requirement waived for candidates with prior FINRA registration)
- FINRA Series 63 and 65 or 66 license(s)
- FINRA Series 7
- Hawaii Life and Health Insurance licenses
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of financial services industry experience.
- 3 years of experience in financial advisory or investment management.
- Strong knowledge of investment products including mutual funds, annuities, and retirement plans.
- Familiarity with estate planning and tax regulations.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining a client portfolio.
- Relevant certification such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
Responsibilities
- Supporting a Sr. Financial Advisor and their member-clients' needs, entering trades, updating records, scheduling reviews and appointments with existing clients, and following up on submitted paperwork.
- Educate clients on financial concepts and market trends to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Conduct comprehensive financial assessments to understand clients' current financial status and future goals.
- Develop personalized investment strategies incorporating mutual funds, annuities, and other financial products.
- Advise clients on retirement planning, estate planning, and risk management to ensure holistic financial security.
- Monitor financial markets and adjust client portfolios proactively to optimize returns and manage risks.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, financial plans, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other financial professionals to provide integrated advisory services when necessary.

- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Able to work both independently and cohesively with others and fosters a team environment.
- Able to make critical decisions independently.
- Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
Minimum Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Frequent travel between branches
- Frequent prolonged meetings with members
- Valid driver's license and commute in personal vehicle as required.

Benefits & Pay
The expected starting pay for our licensed Financial Advisor is $33,280/ yr. plus applicable eligible commissions. Transition assistance pay may be available for eligible employees.
