Occupational Therapist (OT) – Altamont, NY
Position Type: Full-Time (Permanent or Traveler Accepted)
Pay Range: $42.00–$48.00 per hour (based on experience)
Location: Altamont, NY (just west of Albany)

About the role:
This rehabilitation and nursing facility in Altamont is seeking a dedicated and compassionate occupational therapist to join their team as a direct-hire OT. The facility is committed to delivering personalized care in a safe and supportive environment, helping residents achieve their highest levels of independence and well-being.

Position overview:
As an occupational therapist, you will play a critical role in assessing, developing, and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents. You’ll work to help patients regain functional independence and improve their ability to perform daily living skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents and create customized treatment plans

• Implement therapeutic activities and monitor progress toward goals

• Document session notes, progress reports, and re-certifications

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards

• Supervise occupational therapy assistants when applicable

• Participate in care plan meetings and communicate with the interdisciplinary team

• Assist with departmental reporting and special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program

• Current New York state occupational therapy license

• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab preferred but not required

• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
