We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist and Programmer to program CNC machines using Mastercam and interpret CAD models from SolidWorks. The ideal candidate will set up and operate CNC mills to produce precision parts, read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications, and utilize G and M codes for machine programming and troubleshooting. You will perform quality checks using precision measuring tools and maintain machines to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Program CNC machines using Mastercam.
- Interpret CAD models from SolidWorks.
- Set up and operate CNC mills to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Utilize G and M codes for machine programming and troubleshooting.
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Maintain machines and ensure their optimal performance and accuracy.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Mastercam programming.
- Ability to program and operate CNC mills and lathes.
- Experience with G and M codes.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with 4 and 5 axis CNC mill machines.
- Knowledge of high-performance engine components, aerospace, and/or automotive manufacturing.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.

Work Environment
Work in a small, clean, and family-owned shop that is experiencing growth. Choose between a flexible 1st shift schedule of either 4 ten-hour days or 5 eight-hour days, with up to 10 hours of overtime available weekly. There is limited to no weekend work.

This is a Permanent position based out of Odon, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
