This Sales Engineer will own and grow relationships with industrial end users, contractors, and engineering partners within an assigned territory. The role blends technical understanding, consultative selling, and account development to drive new business and expand existing accounts.
You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, guiding customers through solution design, and closing business by aligning products and services to real operational needs.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect, identify, and develop new customer relationships within the territory
- Manage and grow existing accounts through consistent engagement and value-based selling
- Conduct on-site and virtual product demonstrations and technical discussions
- Review technical documentation, drawings, and project specifications to support solution alignment
- Generate quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and prepare sales agreements
- Forecast sales activity and maintain accurate pipeline data within the CRM
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, leadership) to support customer success
- Attend industry trade shows, customer meetings, and training events
- Track market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
- Provide regular sales reports and territory updates to management

Qualifications:
- Education: Technical background preferred (Engineering or related field). Bachelor’s degree a plus; equivalent experience considered
- Experience: 2+ years of outside B2B sales experience, ideally in industrial, technical, or engineered products
- Proven ability to generate new business and close deals
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a self-driven, accountable work style
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating cross-functionally
- Experience using CRM tools and sales technology
- Strong organization, time management, and territory planning skills
- Ability to travel within the assigned region (~35%)
