Job Summary:The Market Research Analyst studies market conditions to assess the sales potential of the company’s portfolio and improve competitiveness and market share. The role analyzes qualitative and quantitative data, evaluates trends and competitive activity, and delivers actionable insights and recommendations to Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Growth Management teams. The analyst also develops visual reports and performs ad hoc analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze syndicated market data to understand competitive landscape and product performance
- Provide factual insights on market conditions and company product performance
- Develop actionable recommendations for RGM, Sales, and Marketing teams to improve market share and brand performance
- Design visual and graphical representations of insights for organizational sharing
- Conduct specialized and ad hoc analyses requested by internal stakeholders
- Analyze business and competitor behavior to identify opportunities to improve market share
- Extract and analyze data from internal databases to identify opportunities and timely solutions
- Interpret market share data at granular levels and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate with teams to improve product performance vs. competitors
- Present findings clearly with supporting visuals for different audience levels
- Partner with Marketing and Sales teams to develop programs and plans that drive market share growth
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights
- Strong consultative communication and presentation skills
- Problem-solving mindset with proactive approach
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with advanced analytics or data tools such as Python, R, SQL, SAS, SPSS, Matlab, Hive, Hadoop, Pig, Minitab, Spotfire, or similar
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in market research, business intelligence, deep-dive analysis, or project management
- Strong operational or business knowledge from working with operations teams
- Ability to generate innovative solutions and growth strategies
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field requiredGraduate degree preferred
