Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide occupational therapy services in a school setting during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. Located in a regional day school in Jackson, NJ, the role focuses on delivering specialized support to students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade participating in the ESY program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in attendance for the ESY program.
- Collaborate with educational staff and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license with experience in school-based therapy.
- Demonstrated ability to work with PK-12 student populations.
- Strong knowledge of school-based OT practices and IDEA regulations.
- Ability to work effectively onsite, engaging with students and educators.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Contract dates: July 1, 2026, through August 12, 2026.
- Hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. (Closed on July 6).
- Location: Regional day school in Jackson, NJ.
- Onsite attendance required.
