Job Description

Job DescriptionExperienced Medical Clerk need for busy hospital located in Valhalla. This position is responsible for the management of patient records and forms within the healthcare facility.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience in one of the top medical facilities in the area!
Must be able to work Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday from 8am-5pm

  • Requesting signatures on consent forms
  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of forms
  • Verifying the information in patient records and ensuring that they are up-to-date.
  • Protecting patient confidentiality:
  • Adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring that patient information is kept secure.
  • Following up on missing consent forms
  • Distributing medical records to appropriate departments:
  • Ensuring that the correct personnel have access to patient information.
  • Assisting with audits and compliance:
  • Helping to ensure that the facility is compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Performing general clerical duties:
  • This may include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and providing general information.

Minimum High School Diploma required

  • Prior medical office experience or Education with a focus in Healthcare preferred
  • Experience working in a busy office environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills: Crucial for managing and maintaining patient files.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer skills: Required for data entry, record management, and using electronic health records systems.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
