Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner NP to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Duluth, MN.
- Employment Status: Full Time
- Compensation: This is a salaried position, paid bi-weekly.
- Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm. (Male only required for job role)

Requirements and Skillsets: The Nurse Practitioner NP must have and meet the following qualifications:
- Male only required for this job role. "When a patient is seen by a Nurse Practitioner the Duluth, MN facility provides the patient with the option for either a male Nurse Practitioner or female Nurse Practitioner, according to what will make the patient most comfortable during a sensitive examination or procedure. The Duluth, MN facility therefore must provide patients with access to both male and female Nurse Practitioner to facilitate patient choice. This posting is specifically for a Male Nurse Practitioner,which will allow the Duluth, MN facility to fulfill its male Nurse Practitioner staffing needs.
- Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license for the duration of your employment.
- Certification: Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.
- Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.
Job Summary:
- Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
- The Nurse Practitioner will capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
- Standard exams include - musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
- Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on location or nearby.
