Opportunity for Interventional Cardiologist
Location: Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA
We are excited to announce a full-time opening for a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Cardiologist at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. This position offers a unique blend of cultural influences, featuring both Cajun and Texan elements, as we are conveniently located just 15 minutes from the Texas border. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, collaborative, and dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of our Veterans. Key Features of the Role:
- Attractive Starting Salary: $325,000 – $390,000
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential for unscheduled hours during emergencies or on-call duties
- Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular consultation services
- Conduct standard diagnostic and cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, ECG, angioplasty, and more
- Engage in clinical practice and mentor Cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students
- Faculty appointment at the affiliated Louisiana State University Health and Science Center, based on qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required; non-citizen applicants may be considered if no qualified U.S. citizen is available
- Possess a full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state
- Board certification in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology is mandatory
- Preferred experience in peripheral vascular intervention; training in structural heart disease intervention and/or venous intervention is a plus
