Opportunity for Interventional Cardiologist

Location: Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA

We are excited to announce a full-time opening for a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Cardiologist at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. This position offers a unique blend of cultural influences, featuring both Cajun and Texan elements, as we are conveniently located just 15 minutes from the Texas border. Key Features of the Role:

• Attractive Starting Salary: $325,000 – $390,000
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential for unscheduled hours during emergencies or on-call duties
• Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular consultation services
• Conduct standard diagnostic and cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, ECG, angioplasty, and more
• Engage in clinical practice and mentor Cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students
• Faculty appointment at the affiliated Louisiana State University Health and Science Center, based on qualifications
• U.S. Citizenship required; non-citizen applicants may be considered if no qualified U.S. citizen is available
• Possess a full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state
• Board certification in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology is mandatory
• Preferred experience in peripheral vascular intervention; training in structural heart disease intervention and/or venous intervention is a plus
